The Muslim Council of Elders Discusses Women's Rights at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair

The Muslim Council of Elders' Pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2024 hosted a seminar titled "Reading of the book 'Concern for Female Rights.'" The event featured presentations by Dr. Ridwan Al-Sayyid, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Humanities, and Dr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Haddad, Member of the Muslim Council of Elders, Senior Mufti, Director of the Fatwa Department in Dubai, and member of the UAE Fatwa Council.

Dr. Al-Sayyid commended the Council's efforts in publishing and disseminating books that celebrate Islamic heritage and promote its moderate ideology. He highlighted the importance of these publications in fostering noble Islamic values and fostering tolerance and respect within society.

Dr. Al Haddad explained that the book "Concern for Female Rights" aims to clarify Islamic legal rulings concerning women and emphasize their rights. Mariam Al-Zaidi, Faculty member of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Humanities, expressed her appreciation for the Council's support of women and its efforts to revive books that promote their rights.

She emphasized the crucial role women play in society and its development. Al-Zaidi expressed her delight in participating in the seminar, which discussed the comprehensive and insightful book "Concern for Female Rights." The book delves into topics such as inheritance, marriage, education, equality, and justice with clarity and scientific accuracy.
