Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Takes Aim at BJP in Davangere
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a recent campaign event in Davangere. He asserted that the BJP's defeat in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections is inevitable, claiming that the party itself recognizes the growing anti-BJP sentiment among the electorate.
Siddaramaiah accused the BJP of neglecting the state's interests and failing to address the injustices faced by its people. He pointed out that many BJP MPs have been abandoned by the party itself, reflecting their awareness of their impending defeat.
In contrast, Siddaramaiah highlighted the Congress government's commitment to fulfilling its promises. He cited the implementation of five guarantees within eight months, including schemes like Annabhagya, Griha Jyothi, Grilahakshmi, Yuvanidhi, and Shakti, which have received widespread praise.
Siddaramaiah also announced the launch of a drinking water project in the Harihar area and a lift irrigation project to provide water to an area of 5,000 hectares after the elections.
He further criticized the BJP government led by Prime Minister Modi for its divisive politics and its attempts to pit castes and religions against each other. He accused Modi of spreading lies about the Congress's stance on reservations and emphasized the party's commitment to increasing the overall reservation rate without taking away from existing quotas.
Siddaramaiah also criticized the BJP and RSS for their opposition to reservations in the past, highlighting their hypocrisy in claiming to support social justice.
Expressing confidence in the Congress party's victory, Siddaramaiah compared it to the certainty of the sun rising in the east. He urged the people to vote for the Congress candidate, stating that it is a vote for him and a vote for the fulfillment of their aspirations.
