Glavchev to Notify Authorities Amid Concerns and Potential Irregularities

Caretaker Premier to Notify Prosecutor's Office and SANS About Private Children's Hospital Case

Following controversy surrounding the establishment of a private children's hospital, caretaker Premier Dimitar Glavchev announced his intention to notify the prosecutor's office and the State Agency for National Security (SANS) about the case.

The decision to establish the private hospital, which would have operated in conjunction with the Health Insurance Fund, was made by the caretaker cabinet on April 30th. However, it was met with immediate backlash from state institutions and NGOs due to concerns about its potential impact on the yet-to-be-realized National Children's Hospital project.

In response to the criticism, Premier Glavchev emphasized the legality of the decision, stating that the cabinet acted within its authority. However, he acknowledged the emergence of new information that prompted the swift cancellation of the project.

"Everything is absolutely legal," Glavchev asserted. "We have no concerns about the legality of the decision we have taken. However, facts came out that we had no way of knowing, and we immediately reacted."

The decision to involve the prosecutor's office and SANS suggests a desire for a thorough investigation into the matter, potentially addressing concerns about transparency and potential irregularities.
