Political Developments in Haryana
The Haryana unit of Congress has requested time from the governor before seeking a floor test from the BJP-led government in the Assembly. This request follows the recent switch of three Independent lawmakers from the ruling government to the Congress faction.
Meanwhile, former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister and JJP senior leader Dushyant Chautala has written to the governor, demanding a floor test in the state Assembly. Chautala claims that the three Independent MLAs withdrew their support to the BJP government and aligned with the Congress because the current Chief Minister is "weak."
Air India Express Flight Cancellations
Budget carrier Air India Express has cancelled 74 flights on Thursday due to cabin crew taking sick leave. The airline has given an ultimatum to the cabin crew members reporting sick to join back duty by 4 pm today or risk termination. The carrier has also fired 25 cabin crew members who reported sick, leading to the cancellation of more than 90 flights.
Investigation into Firing at Salman Khan's House
The police investigation into the firing at actor Salman Khan's Bandra house has revealed that the accused sent videos of two more actors to gangster Anmol Bishnoi, brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol had uploaded a post on Facebook claiming responsibility for the attack, soon after the firing outside the actor's residence on April 14.
US President Joe Biden Warns Israel
In an interview with CNN, US President Joe Biden warned Israel that the US would stop supplying them with weapons if Israeli forces conduct a major invasion of Rafah, a city in southern Gaza. Biden acknowledged US weapons have been used by Israel to kill civilians in Gaza. 34,789 Palestinians have been killed as a result of Israel's actions, the Gaza Health Ministry said.
