Union Home Minister Amit Shah's Speech in Serampore
Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a rally in Serampore, West Bengal, on Wednesday. During his speech, he touched upon various topics, including the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Shah highlighted the return of peace to Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. He contrasted this with the ongoing protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, where slogans of "Azaadi" and stone-pelting incidents are now prevalent. He asserted that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is part of India and vowed to reclaim it.
Shah urged the people to choose between the "corrupt leaders of the INDI alliance" and the "honest politician Narendra Modi," who has never faced any corruption allegations despite holding the positions of Chief Minister and Prime Minister.
Shah presented the CAA as a choice between "infiltrators" and "refugees." He criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for opposing the CAA and holding rallies in support of "infiltrators" to appease her vote bank.
