Dubai Airport Urges Passengers to Confirm Flights Due to Floods

Dubai International Airport, the world's second-busiest airport, is urging passengers flying from DXB to only come to the airport if their flight is confirmed due to current flooding conditions. To manage the situation and prevent overcrowding, they have recommended arriving at the terminal just three hours prior to departure. This precaution is being taken to help operations recover after heavy rains earlier in the week caused flooding in the United Arab Emirates.

In response to the extreme weather conditions and flooding in Dubai, the airport has temporarily limited the number of inbound flights. Air India, a major airline, announced the cancellation of its flights to and from Dubai due to operational issues arising from the continuous rainfall impacting Dubai Airport. Passengers with valid tickets for travel until April 21 have been informed that they are eligible for a one-time waiver for rescheduling and full refunds for cancellations. The airline is working to re-accommodate affected customers on flights once operations resume.

Air India has posted updates on social media platform X, informing passengers about the flight cancellations and the options available for rebooking or obtaining refunds. Passengers are advised to contact the airline's 24/7 Contact Centre for more information or visit their website for assistance with rescheduling or cancellations due to the disruptions caused by the extreme weather conditions in Dubai.
