Congress attacks Modi, alleges "no agenda barring Hindu-Muslim politics"
The Congress party launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, accusing him of having "no agenda barring Hindu-Muslim politics." The party's general secretary, Jairam Ramesh, claimed that Modi's "Modi ki Guarantee" has "fallen flat" and his promise of "400 paar" has been "given a silent burial."
Ramesh's remarks came in response to Modi's statement in an interview with News 18, where he said he would not be fit for public life if he started playing the Hindu-Muslim card. Ramesh dismissed this claim as a "pathetic lie," pointing to Modi's use of "communal language, symbols, and allusions" since the start of the campaign.
The Congress leader further alleged that Modi's party manifesto has "found zero traction" and that his "last, desperate attempt at having a campaign has been to lie and spread untruths." He concluded by stating that the certainty of Modi's exit has "forced him to feign memory loss.
