Polish pm calls for sanctions on Russia, Ukraine

15.04.2022

Mateusz Morawiecki, the Polish prime minister, has called for far-reaching sanctions on Russia and arms supplies to Ukraine in response to reports of Russian use of chemical weapons.

Ukraine's Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar said on Tuesday that Ukraine had been checking unverified information that Russia might have used chemical weapons while besieging the southern Ukrainian port city of Mariupol.

More and more reports have been reported confirming the use of chemical weapons in Ukraine, Morawiecki said on Tuesday that this was another line in Russia's criminal activity, which Putin and his colleagues had no hesitation in crossing.

Morawiecki stated that there was a need for far-reaching sanctions and arms deliveries to Ukraine.

The Kremlin regime can only be defeated by military operations and economic measures, according to the prime minister.

Ukrainian soldiers have been fighting against the brutal Kremlin force, he said.

The prime minister said that Russia's economic defeat should be carried out by the free world, the European Union, the US and all countries that understand that the violation of geopolitical principles and international law is a threat to peace, security and stable life.
