Elon Musk says Biden left a lot to be desired

17.05.2022

Elon Musk was never very shy about commenting on politics or public policy before he was the world's richest man. He has been careful not to mince words about his feelings towards President Joe Biden. In Musk's view, Biden left a lot to be desired.

Musk lambasted Biden on Monday night at the All-In Summit in Miami and said he didn't have any achievements throughout the course of his barely two-year-long presidency.

Musk said that the Biden administration was more inclined to take action because of the unfavorable relationship between the administration of the former President Donald Trump and the Biden administration.

Musk said that this administration doesn't seem to get a lot done. There were a number of people in the administration who were effective at getting things done, despite the fact that Trump was gone. This administration seems to not have the drive to get expletive done. That is my impression. Musk has been critical of Biden and Congress Democrats throughout the last year.

During congressional debates over the size of Biden's proposed Build Back Better spending plan, a massive multi-trillion dollar social and climate plan, Musk railed against Democrats for their plans to raise taxes on wealthy citizens like himself. He went on to fight with leftist senators like Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Bernie Sanders of Vermont on Twitter.

Musk has also butted heads with Biden. Musk said last September about Biden extending an invitation to the White House for automakers but not Tesla. After launching a lawsuit against the Securities and Exchange Commission in February, Musk claimed that the Biden administration was trying to harass him over criticism of the White House.

Musk has taken a crude tone when he has taken invectives against Biden. In January, Musk wrote on Twitter that the president was a damp sock puppet in human form. Musk went on the attack again at the All-In Summit.

The person who controls the teleprompter is the real president. The path to power is the path to the teleprompter. If someone were to lean on the teleprompter, it would be like Anchorman, Musk said in 2004 referring to the comedy film about a news anchor who would read anything on the teleprompter.

The tensions between Musk and Biden arise at a time when the White House has been criticized by Jeff Bezos, who is also among the richest people in the world. The former Amazon CEO has been critical of Biden's economic policy with inflation, while Biden's team has noted that Bezos has benefited from an unfair tax system.
