Vivo X80 and Vivo X 80 Pro launch in India

Vivo launched its latest flagship smartphone series, the Vivo X 80 and Vivo X 80 Pro, in India. The focus of the Vivo X 80 series is on the cameras, with the company s ongoing partnership with Ziess and both phones feature a dedicated V 1 imaging chipet and a T-Star coating on the camera lenses, as seen with the Vivo X 60 and the Vivo X 70 series.

While some of the features are common between the Vivo X 80 and the Vivo X 80 Pro, the latter is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

Vivo X 80 Pro is the flagship device of the year from Vivo and unlike last year, there is no Vivo X 80 Pro Plus. It features a 6.78 inch AMOLED display with 2 K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. It has a 4,700mAh battery with 80 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging support.

The cameras on the Vivo X 80 Pro include a 50 MP main camera with the Samsung GNV sensor, a 48 MP ultra-wide with the Sony IMX 598 sensor, a 12 MP portrait camera and an 8 MP periscope with 60 X digital zoom. There is a 32 MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The Vivo X 80 Pro has the Vivo V 1 imaging chip that promises to improve camera performance along with the Carl Zeiss certification.

The Vivo X 80 on the other hand has a similar-sized display as the Vivo X 80 Pro, but it is a full HD one and powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The cameras on the back have a 50 MP primary, a 12 MP ultra-wide and a 12 MP portrait camera. There is a 32 MP camera on the front. This smartphone has a V 1 chip but there is no Zeiss certification.

The Vivo X 80 has a 4,500 mAh camera with 80 W fast charge support.

The Vivo X 80 is priced at Rs 54,999 for the 8 GB 128 GB version and Rs 59,999 for the 12 GB 256 GB version.

The Vivo X 80 Pro is priced at Rs 79,999.

The phones will be available on May 25th, and will be available on Flipkart, the Vivo site, as well as the physical stores.
