Ruchi Soya Q4 net profit falls 25.4 per cent to Rs 1139

The firm reported a 25.4 per cent decline in Q 4 net profit, and so the stock of Ruchi Soya rose more than 4 per cent today. The stock was up 4.07 per cent to Rs 1139 against the previous close of Rs 1094 on the BSE.

In the March quarter, standalone profit after tax PAT fell to Rs 234.43 crore, compared to Rs 314.33 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations climbed 37.72 per cent YoY to Rs 6,663. 72 crore was compared to Rs 4,838. In the corresponding quarter last year, there were 5 crore.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 418.55 crore, with the EBITDA margin coming in at 6.27 per cent, the company said in a BSE filing.

The firm's maiden dividend of Rs 5 per share for FY 22 was announced by the Baba Ramdev-led firm, on the face value of Rs 2. The 250 per cent dividend is the highest among peers.

The Board of Directors at its meeting on May 27, 2022 has recommended a dividend of 5.00 per equity share on 36,19, 94,853 equity shares of Rs. The company said that there were 2.00 for the financial year ended March 31, 2022.

The company reported a 18.50 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 806.30 crore in the last fiscal against Rs 680.77 crore in FY 21.
