Lithuania's Ignitis Group among the top 8% of companies in 2021

EcoVadis assesses the actions and results of business organisations in four sustainability themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The results of the assessment published on a special platform are used by thousands of companies when it comes to monitoring and promoting supply chain sustainability.

Our customers both large international organisations and a growing number of Lithuanian B2B and private customers have started to pay attention to the origin of the energy they consume, but they also have started carefully assessing the business aspects of the energy supplier they choose. They expect real action when it comes to climate change mitigation, respectful and equal treatment of employees, complete transparency, etc. The assessment of EcoVadis shows that we are on the right path of constant improvement and lists us among the organisations meeting the highest requirements, said Valentas Neviera, Head of Group Sustainability at Ignitis Group.

EcoVadis' assessment method relies on various international standards for responsible business conduct such as the Global Reporting Initiative, UN Global Compact, etc.

Ignitis was ranked among the top 8% of the companies assessed by the platform in 2021. The company getting ISO certified, disclosure of sustainability data of the entire Ignitis Group, complies with international guidelines, a wide range of benefits for employees, helping customers consume energy more efficiently, etc. The assessment results have been better this year because of all of them.
