Euro Area industrial prices rise by 35.8% in June

In June 2022, industrial producer prices in the euro area increased by 35.8% and 36.1% in the EU, compared to June 2021.

In June 2022, industrial producer prices in the euro area increased by 2.7% compared to May 2022 in the energy sector, by 0.7% for durable consumer goods and non-durable consumer goods and by 0.4% for intermediate goods and capital goods. The total industry excluding energy increased by 0.4%.

In the EU, industrial producer prices in the energy sector increased by 3.2%, by 0.8% for durable consumer goods, by 0.7% for non-durable consumer goods, by 0.4% for intermediate goods and by 0.3% for capital goods. Including energy, the total industry's prices increased by 0.5%.

In Ireland 13.2% Lithuania and Finland are the highest monthly increases in industrial producer prices, while in Luxembourg 2.2% and in Greece are 3.8% higher in June 2022 compared to June 2021, compared with 6.8% for non-durable consumer goods, 9.5% for durable consumer goods and 7.6% for capital goods. The total industry excluding energy increased by 15.6%.

In the EU, industrial producer prices in the energy sector increased by 92.0%, by 24.1% for intermediate goods, by 13.4% for non-durable consumer goods, by 10.0% for durable consumer goods and by 7.8% for capital goods. The total industry excluding energy increased by 16.2%.

In all Member States, the industrial producer prices went up, with the highest yearly increases in Romania 61.2% Denmark 55.5% and Lithuania 52.5%.
