Svaros Broliai says security audit shows it's safe to use

04.08.2022

The information system's audit shows that it's safe to use, the company said, adding that it has added additional safeguards in place.

Over the past month, both our internal IT team and external security specialists have conducted a thorough review of the car cleaning centers reservation system. The system is secure and there is no risk to customer data, including names, car registration plates, phone numbers and emails, said Lina Zagariene, director of Svaros Broliai.

She once again apologized to customers affected by the information attack. As the company announced earlier in the day, hackers leaked information about some 50,000 customers, including their names, surnames, car registration plates, emails and phone numbers.

Payment-related information, such as bank account details, payment card details, and other highly sensitive data, such as personal codes and home addresses, were not collected or stored in the leaked database.

Svaros Broliai has added additional security measures in place, including additional encryption of data stored in the reservation system.

The audit also confirmed that the customer data of Svaros Broliai's other businesses, including its car wash tunnels, indoor cleaning business and self-service car washes, was not affected by the attack.

Russian hackers are believed to have leaked the company's data.
