Over $1 million lost in Dragoma rug pull

08.08.2022

Over $1 million has been moved from the project to centralized exchange wallets because of the polygon-based play-to earn game Dragoma.

The alleged rug pull by PeckShield was first reported by the security company PeckShield, noting the decline in the value of Dragoma's token DMA.

According to the information, over $420,000 USDT and 880,000 MATIC were rugged from the project.

The DMA's value fell sharply from $1.8 to less than $0.0023 in the last 4 hours. After its value rose by over 160%, it was widely hailed as one of the top gainers on August 6.

The extent of the rug pull is unknown, but over 5700 wallet addresses held Dragoma, according to data on Polygonscan. One of the community members lost $10,000 in a rug pull.

The GameFi application website is currently inaccessible, and its Telegram channel has been deleted. Other social media platforms like Twitter have also been deleted.

The rug pull came less than a day after the MEXC Global exchange listed the token in its Assessment Zone and opened the DMAUSDT trading pair.

The exchange has suspended trading of the token until further notice because of abnormal on-chain transfers of Dragoma DMA Dragoma, which is a move-to- earn game similar to Solana STEPN. It allowed players to earn the DMA token for various activities, from training a dragon to pet combat.

Non-fungible token plays an important part in the game. After 40 days of player walking 500 meters daily, the dragon eggs hatch.
