Apollo Hospitals acquires Gurugram hospital asset for 450 crore

Apollo Hospitals acquired a hospital asset in Gurugram from Nayati Healthcare and Research NCR Private Ltd for nearly 450 crore, expanding its footprint in the NCR region. The hospital chain's entry into Haryana marks the hospital chain's entry into Haryana.

It has a capacity of 650 beds, and is situated on a hospital-zoned land of over 7 lakh square feet.

The transaction was funded using available surplus funds with the group, and was completed through Apollo Hospitals' 100 per cent subsidiary, Apollo Hospitals North Ltd.

The hospital will establish its presence in the millennium city of Gurugram, one of India's fastest growing cities, with an aspirational populace, and substantial brand equity for Apollo Hospitals, due to its existing footprint in the region. Apollo Hospital said in a statement that the upcoming integrated healthcare complex on the Golf Course Road in Gurugram would be commissioned in a span of 24 months.

It will aim to extend advanced clinical solutions and services to the citizens of the country through its experienced faculty and international collaborations, and will position the city as an international healthcare destination, it added.

The Gurugram facility would be at the centre of innovation in digital healthcare, Healthcare accelerators and start-ups and contribute to the country's healthcare system, propelling the country and state of Haryana towards leading practices and world-class healthcare, Apollo said.

The hospital chain said it would work closely with the Haryana government to meet the goals and targets.
