Chair of the Board of Innovation Agency Lithuania appoints Dr. Paliokait

I want to help build an efficient innovation ecosystem in Lithuania, where Innovation Agency Lithuania is a real business partner and a key change agent in leading the economy towards high added value. The smooth management of changes in the organisation is a short-term objective that requires an ambitious and focused strategy for the agency, as well as an efficient, user-friendly and synergistic package of services and measures, says Dr Paliokait, Chair of the Board of Innovation AgencyBoard of Innovation Agency Lithuania.

Innovation Agency Lithuania is a progressive employer and the team can be proud of it because it is innovative. Dr Paliokait has more than 20 years of experience in policy-making and impact assessment, feasibility studies and applied social sciences, and I believe that together with a strong Board, political will and all the agency's employees we will succeed. She has contributed to the development of the first innovation projects in Lithuania, including the Sunrise Valley, and is currently a member of the Working Group on Coordination of the State Progress Strategy in Lithuania 2050.

The Board of Innovation includes Dr Paliokait, ilvinas Pakeltis, an experienced international development manager with over 20 years of experience in multinational and domestic companies, Justina Klyvien founder and Managing Partner of the Innovation Laboratory, Egl Markevi i t Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation, Egl Markevi i t Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Gintautas Jak tas, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Sport

Innovation reform does not end with the merger of three organisations into one agency. It is just the beginning of the transformation. The aim of the organisation is to focus more on breakthrough industries, international development, economic transformation, digitalisation and building economic resilience. The long-standing experience of the Board members will contribute to the creation of a new innovation ecosystem in Lithuania and of a dynamic, positive and innovative Innovation Agency, says Au rin Armonait Minister of Economy and Innovation.

Innovation Agency Lithuania, which started activities in early April, is responsible for Lithuania's innovation ecosystem and for promoting innovation at all stages of business development. The agency is responsible for entrepreneurship, export and innovation promotion services to businesses and will administer a range of business support measures with a total value exceeding EUR 500 million over the next few years.
