U.S. budget office to release cost estimate for infrastructure bill

04.08.2021

WASHINGTON, Aug 4 - The U.S. Senate Budget Office said it would release its cost estimate for the bipartisan infrastructure bill that is currently being debated in the CBO's website on Thursday.

The estimate of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act's budgetary costs over the next 10 years could heavily affect the level of support it has in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Summaries of the bill highlight $550 billion in New spending over a decade, but revenue offsets totaling only $480 billion.
