Tokyo records 9 COVID-19 deaths in last 24 hours

Since earlier this year, there were daily cases attributed to areas outside Tokyo, which were included in the capital's daily infection figures. Excluding these cases, Tokyo's total on September 24 stood at 4,716.

There were nine COVID 19 deaths in the capital on Sept. 24, bringing total coronavirus deaths in Tokyo to 5,777.

The capital has been battling a seventh wave of coronaviruses. In the first week of September, Tokyo recorded an average of 11,344. In the second week, there were 3 cases per day, followed by 8,960 and 6,925. In the third place was 4th. It saw a total of 759,118 cases in August, for a daily average of 24,487. There are 7 infections. Tokyo had 567,728 total COVID 19 cases in July, for an average of 18,313. 8 per day.
