Medical marijuana telemedicine platform NuggMD launches services in Vermont

27.09.2022

NuggMD, a medical marijuana telemedicine platform, is launching its services in Vermont for $99. Since its founding in 2015, NuggMD has connected more than one million patients to MMJ doctors in 20 states and is now available to over 200 million Americans.

Collin Mann, CEO and co-founder of NuggMD, said that Vermont's medical marijuana program is low compared to other states. As of June, about 0.6% of the state population was enrolled. That is close to 9% of Oklahomans and nearly 5% of Mainers. NuggMD-Vermont is coming to an end just days before Flora Cannabis recreational sales begin on October 1, 2022.

Some think it's counterintuitive to launch a medical cannabis platform before legal sales begin, says NuggMD co-founder and CMO Alex Milligan. California has allowed recreational activities since 2016 and it still has more than 2 million patients. Most people don't even register with the state for tax benefits. They're interested in other benefits of having a recommendation. The biggest benefit of having a doctor guide you is the fact that you have a doctor, said NuggMD co-founder and COO Kam Babazade. It is very intimidating for newcomers to Marijuana. It's hard to know what mode of administration and dosages to take. Babazade also stresses the other benefits that will be significant:

There are only home delivery and curbside pickup options for patients.
