Petrobras to unveil new plan in November

A company executive for Brazil's state-owned company said on Wednesday that Petrobras is going to present its new strategic plan for the coming years in November, consistent with the current focus on offshore oil formation known as pre-salt.

Salvador Dahan, Petrobras' executive director of governance, said that the company will continue what it has been doing in pre-salt exploration and production during an oil and gas event in Rio de Janeiro.

The plan continues to address the focus in Brazil and with development in the pre-salt, with a lot of investment in exploration and production, but also in the downstream logistics segments he said.

Dahan said that part of the investment will be focused on areas such as decarbonization and renewable energies.

The dollar value was not disclosed by the executive.

The plan for the company last year stood at $68 billion over five years, almost 25% more than the previous program.
