Hungary's Orban shows disrespect for Bosnia and Herzegovina in presidential speech

30.09.2022

Viktor Orban, the prime minister of Hungary, supported Milorad Dodik in his candidacy for the President of the Republika Srpska, and at the same time presented a series of scandalous messages.

In a short video address, Orban showed disrespect for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina because he never mentioned the name of the state, while he called Republika Srpska an honorary neighbor of Hungary.

Hungary and Serbia are neighbors, but Hungary considers Republika Srpska as its honorary neighbor. That is why what happens in your country is very important for us. It affects Hungary and the whole region, but it also affects your lives, so on the lives of your friends, Orban said.

He also said that elections are being held in Republika Srpska and called Dodik your president, even though he is a member of the BiH Presidency.

There are important elections coming up in the RS. I know your president, Mr. Dodik, who is a good friend of Hungary and the Hungarian people, and I am proud of our personal friendship. In him I met a man who always protects the interests of the Serbian people, who is open to dialogue, who advocates for the Dayton Agreement, and who always protects the interests of the Serbian people, according to Orban.

He said that he has always supported Dodik, and that is why he wants to cooperate with him in the future.

Orban said God bless all Serbs in the Balkans.
