Bulgaria President to host official commissioning of gas interconnector

On October 1, Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev will host the official commissioning of the gas interconnector between Bulgaria and Greece. The event will be held at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.

The Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector is of strategic importance for South-Eastern Europe and provides an opportunity for real energy diversification of natural gas suppliers for the region.

At the invitation of the Bulgarian president, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the Republic of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski, the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, the Prime Minister of Romania Nicolae Ciuc and Bulgarian Prime Minister Galab Donev will take part in the ceremony.
