Baku President Aliyev says other gas fields will help increase exports

There are several other gas fields in Azerbaijan where gas will be extracted and will contribute to our increasing volume of deliveries, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said.

President Aliyev said at the ceremony for the official launch of the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia that this year the country will increase the export of natural gas to more than 22 million cubic meters, 11.2 million of which will go to consumers in Europe. President Aliyev stated that his country is a reliable supplier of natural gas and is making efforts to become an exporter of electricity from renewable energy sources.
