Donald Trump's "love letters" from Kim Jong Un were unearthed

The Korean-American Club published over a dozen letters exchanged between former U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

What happened to Donald Trump's self-described 'love letters' from Kim after he was retrieved from his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. In the letter, Kim reportedly expressed his willingness to discuss his country's denuclearization with Trump while sidelining South Korean President Moon Jae In, reported Star And Stripes.

In a letter dated April 2018, two months before meeting with the former U.S. president for the first time at the Singapore summit, Kim said I am ready to work with your excellence with all my heart and devotion to accomplish a feat no one has ever accomplished. On the same day, Trump said he was happy to meet Kim to improve relations between the two nations.

Trump wrote a second letter four months later in which he expressed gratitude for the return of 55 remains that were thought to be those of U.S. soldiers killed in the Korean War in 1950 and 53.

In a letter dated August 2018 Trump wrote, thank you for keeping your promise to start the repatriation process of our soldiers. He said that he looked forward to seeing you soon.

In June 2019, Kim extended his birthday wishes to Trump and congratulated him on the one-year anniversary of the historic moment in Singapore. Kim wrote: "I extend my warmest regards for your excellency's birthday.

Things started to go rot a month later when Kim expressed displeasure about joint military drills in a letter dated August 2019. He said he was offended by the U.S. and South Korean military exercises.

He said it is very difficult for me and my people to understand the decision and behavior of you and the South Korean authorities.

This development came a month after Trump admitted to taking Kim's letters and other tremendous things along with him when he left the White House at the end of his term.
