Singapore residents can now collect home recycling box

26.11.2022

SINGAPORE: Every residential household in Singapore will be able to collect a home recycling box from March next year.

The Bloobox can be folded, washed and reused, the National Environment Agency NEA said on Saturday, November 26. Residents at five constituencies can collect their boxes earlier in a pilot phase.

Households in Yuhua, Sembawang West, Tampines North, Yio Chu Kang and Fengshan constituencies may do so from Nov 26 to Dec 23.

A resident or a long-term resident, any household member registered at the residential address can collect the Bloobox for their household, said NEA.

A Singapore ID document, such as an NRIC or FIN card, can be collected from vending machines by scanning the barcode of a Singapore-issued identification document. Residents can also key in their identification number.

Before going out to collect the box, the NEA encouraged people to check the locations of the nearest vending machines and stock levels.
