Ukraine evacuates remaining residents of Kherson

After the withdrawal of Russian troops, the Ukrainian authorities evacuated the remaining residents of Kherson, according to BTA. The city came under control of Kyiv after months of Russian occupation. The Ukrainian authorities recommended that citizens leave the city temporarily, because of the destruction of Kherson's infrastructure. Russian forces, which have deployed on the opposite bank of the Dnieper River, continue to shoot with artillery against the city.

Six million households in Ukraine are without electricity due to Russian attacks on Ukraine's power grid. The Ukrainian authorities in Kherson reported new civilian casualties after the massive shelling against the city yesterday 10 dead and more than 54 wounded. Patients in the Kherson regional hospital have already been transferred to Mykolaiv. There are 26 children among the evacuees. The patients in the regional psychiatric hospital were evacuated from the city. More than 100 people will continue their treatment in Odessa.

According to Russia, seven civilians were killed during a mortar attack by the Ukrainian army in Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region.
