Steve Wozniak says Bitcoin is only pure-gold mathematics

Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Inc., has described Bitcoin BTCUSD as the only criptocurrency that is pure-gold mathematics. What Happened: Wozniak made a statement about Bitcoins in an interview with Business Insider, saying that many cryptocurrencies are untrustworthy and have a track record of being rip-offs. There are so many cryptocurrencies that come out now, everyone has a way to create a new one, and you have a celebrity star with it, Business Insider quoted Wozniak as saying.

The tech entrepreneur in the interview said that people often buy cryptocurrencies because they are blinded by the potential windfalls.

Wozniak said in an interview with Yahoo Finance last year that the hard-to- trace nature of cryptocurrencies is a potential hindrance to large-scale adoption.

Wozniak launched his own criptocurrency called Efforce WOZX USD in December 2020.

Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, disclosed in November last year that he owned cryptocurrencies, but the Cupertino-based company wouldn't be investing any time soon.
