Fed's Bullard to be in exclusive interview with MarketWatch on Monday

St. Louis Federal ReserveFederal Reserve President James Bullard is scheduled to sit down for an exclusive interview with MarketWatch on Monday to discuss the outlook for the economy and monetary policy two weeks before the Fed's next meeting on interest rates.

Beginning at noon Eastern time, Bullard will be interviewed by MarketWatch's economics editor, Greg Robb.

According to CME Group's FedWatch Tool, the US central bank has been aggressively raising interest rates to bring down a four-decade high, and traders are expecting a 50 basis-point hike at the next meeting. Bullard earlier this month rattled financial markets by suggesting that the Fed's benchmark funds rate may need to rise to 7%.
