Trains disrupted along Tseung Kwan O Line due to equipment fault

Due to a disruption on the Tseung Kwan O LineTseung Kwan O Line in the morning on December 5, 2022, residents line up to take other transport outside Po Lam station. CALVIN NG CHINA DAILY HONG KONG - An equipment fault caused trains to be disrupted along The Mass Transit Railway's Tseung Kwan O Line on Monday morning.

The equipment fault occurred on a train near Tseung Kwan O station between the MTR's LOHAS Park and Tseung Kwan O station at 9: 18 am, according to the MTR's official website.

MTR staff are inspecting a train with an equipment fault in the tunnel near Tseung Kwan O MTR station on December 5, 2022. Train services between North Point station and Tiu Keng Leng station were stopped every 5 minutes, while those between Tiu Keng Leng station and Po Lam station station LOHAS Park station were suspended, the train operator said.

The free MTR shuttle bus service was running between Tiu Keng Leng station and Po Lam station LOHAS Park station, and non-stop between LOHAS Park station and Tiu Keng Leng station, according to the company.

The MTR staff were carrying out repair work, advising commuters to use other transport.

The Fire Services Department was assisting with a rescue operation and aiding in the evacuation of members of the public at the scene.
