Bosnia and Herzegovina has 3.3 million inhabitants since 2013

By comparing the latest official data and 2013 population census, Bosnia and Herzegovina BiH has 3.3 million inhabitants, which means the number of inhabitants has decreased by more than 152,300 or 4.31 percent since 2013.

The cities and cities with the biggest decrease in the number of inhabitants in 2021 compared to the aforementioned census in each of the cantons or regions of the Republika Srpska RS were singled out. There were more cities and cities with an increase in the number of inhabitants compared to the 2013 census.

Posavina Canton had 40,422 inhabitants by mid- 2021, which is 3,031 or 6.98 percent less than in 2013.

Odzak lost most of its inhabitants in this canton. It was estimated that it had 18,570 inhabitants by the middle of 2021, which is 1,402 or 7.45 percent less than in 2013.

In this canton, Drvar lost most of its inhabitants. It is estimated that it had 5,856 inhabitants by the middle of 2021, which is 1,180 or 16.77 percent less than in 2013.

By the middle of 2021, Bosnian-Podrinje Canton had 22,382 inhabitants, which is 1,352 or 5.67 percent less than in 2013.

Pale lost most of its inhabitants when it comes to this canton. They had 793 inhabitants by the middle of 2021, which is 111 or 12.28 percent less than in 2013, according to the estimates.

By the middle of 2021, the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton had 214,523 inhabitants, which is 7,484 or 3.37 percent less than in 2013.

The most inhabitants of the canton went to the prozor. It is estimated that it had 13,271 inhabitants by the middle of 2021, which is 1,009 or 7.06 percent less than in 2013.

By mid- 2021, the Zenica-Doboj canton had 354,285 inhabitants, which is 10,148 or 2.79 percent less than in 2013.

Vares lost most of its inhabitants in this canton. It is estimated that it had 7,501 inhabitants by the middle of 2021, which is 1,391 or 15.64 percent less than the last population census.

By mid- 2021, Tuzla Canton had 434,424 inhabitants, which is 10,604 or 2.38 percent less than in 2013.

In this canton, Kladanj lost most of its inhabitants. It is estimated that it had 11,415 inhabitants by the middle of 2021, which is 933 or 7.55 percent less than in 2013.

Canton Sarajevo is the only canton in which the number of inhabitants has increased by mid- 2021 compared to 2013 in the canton of Sarajevo. By mid- 2021 it had 419,918 inhabitants, which is 6,325 or 1.53 percent more than in 2013.

In BiH, there were 3,378, 821 inhabitants in the year 2021, which is 210,205 or 5.95 percent less than the 2013 census, according to Klix.ba.
