You can see other videos from our team by tapping here. On January 18, try refreshing your browser, or HBC announced the new locations in seven provinces, but didn't give a specific opening date. The company said that the Zellers stores would arrive in early 2023.

Alongside physical stores, HBC will launch a Zellers e-commerce site, which it said will bring Zellers products to nearly every community in Canada. Zellers is a brand that is deeply rooted in the Canadian experience. The company's chief business officer, Adam Powell, said when the brand relaunch was announced last year that people hold special connections to Zellers through shared experiences with family and friends. HBC is tight-lipped about its motivations to bring back Zellers, but the revival could be a play to boost revenues.

The company said that Zellers locations inside The Bay stores will take up between 8,000 and 10,000 square feet of brick and mortar space.
