Bulgarians in Azerbaijan express concern over embassy death in Iran

The death of one Azerbaijani and the injuries of two others on 27 January was deeply saddened by the death of one Azerbaijani and the injury of two others in the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran. Bulgarians in Azerbaijan wrote a statement to the UN, the EU and other international organisations.

The statement states that we are very concerned about the constant violation of the rights of our 40 million compatriots living in South Azerbaijan, and the lack of guarantees of immunity of any diplomatic mission in Iran or any person located there. We need to alert the international community to the situation in the region, and call for action to combat crimes against humanity We are compelled to highlight that we are witnessing the constant commission of Iran and Armenia of joint illegal actions within the borders of Azerbaijan We expect the international community to take a fair stand, the statement reads.
