Task Force on Promoting and Branding Hong Kong held first meeting

The Task Force on Promoting and Branding Hong Kong, led by Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-poChan Mo-po, held its first meeting in Hong Kong on January 31, 2023. The PHOTO HKSAR GOVERNMENT Hong Kong a task force on promoting Hong Kong to mainland and overseas countries held its first meeting on Monday, according to a government statement.

The Task Force on Promoting and Branding Hong Kong was set up last week by Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-poChan Mo-po to advise the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government on the strategy to promote Hong Kong's advantages to the mainland and overseas.

The task force consisted of prominent individuals of diverse backgrounds, representatives of partner organizations of Hong Kong Inc., as well as government officials.

During the first meeting, members of the task force deliberated on ways to increase the promotion of new potentials and opportunities in the city under the new development stage, according to the statement.

Hong Kong is moving from stability to more prosperous and returning to normalcy. The financial secretary said that the start of the work of the task force signifies the initiation of efforts by the government and the whole Hong Kong team to demonstrate our real strengths and advantages to the world.

With joint efforts, our promotional work in overseas countries and regions, as well as in the mainland, would certainly be more targeted, impactful and effective in achieving its objectives, enhancing the branding and image of Hong Kong, Chan said.
