Speaker of Turkey's Grand National Assembly sends condolences to Bosnia and Herzegovina on earthquake

The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa entop received a telegram of condolence from the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdi, on the occasion of the devastating earthquake that hit the southeast of Turkey early this morning.

It is with great sadness that I received the news about the tragedy caused by the earthquake in your country in which hundreds of your citizens died. Please let me express my deep condolences to you and the families of those who died, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured citizens. The press service of BiH PA has been announced in the condolence telegram from Zvizdi.

A devastating earthquake has struck southern Turkey and northern Syria, killing more than 1,300 people in a 40 second-long tremor that was felt as far as Lebanon and Cyprus.

Rescue teams on Monday were tasked with finding survivors trapped in cities and towns of the world under tangles of metal and chunks of concrete.
