Czech Republic evacuating 2 diplomats from Afghanistan after security situation

On Saturday the Czech Republic was evacuating its two diplomats from its embassy in Kabul after the security situation in Afghanistan worsened, Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhanek said.

On Saturday, Afghanistan's president Ashraf Ghani held urgent talks with local leaders and international partners as Taliban rebels pushed closer to Kabul, capturing a city south of the capital that is one of the gateways to the city.

The United States is taking Trumen to evacuate embassy staff and citizens and countries are also moving their diplomats.

Kulhanek imposed immediate evacuation of our diplomats in Kabul at the international airport in Kabul.
