Bitcoin prices up 1.04% on Coinmarketcap

The world's largest coin was trading marginally higher today. The price ofBitcoin went up 1.04% to $57,145 on Coinmarketcap. The market cap of the criptocurrency was $1,078 billion.

The global market cap is currently $2.58 trillion, a gain of 0.44%. Other cryptocurrencies traded on a mixed note today.

Doge coin was trading 2.78% lower at $0.2168, and ethereum rose 0.24% to $4,287. The digital token Stellar fell 1.02% to $0.331 and Litecoin gained 2.07% to $216.91.

XRP declined 0.95% to $1.04 and Uni swap fell 4.86% to $20.73. The price of virtual currency has gone up recently due to comments made by billionaire Elon Musk and Ark Investment Management LLC's Cathie Wood.

Elon Musk said Tesla was most likely to acceptbitcoin as payment in late July. The comment helped the race of criptocurrencies get past the $30,000 level.

In May, the electric carmaker said that it would no longer accept cryptocurrencies for purchases. The last three years it's been a wild ride forBitcoin.

The big Wall Street debut took place in December 2017, when the major futures exchanges introduced theBitcoin futures. The attention attracted Bitcoin to about $19,300, a price that was never seen before for the currency.
