Bosnia and Herzegovina approves 25 million euro loan from EU

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will transfer the money from the loan to Sarajevo Canton if the loan is approved by the House of PeoplesHouse of Peoples and other conditions are met.

The project will include the procurement and installation of an adaptive traffic management system, including the construction of a management center, as well as the procurement of up to five new trams for better public transport efficiency in Sarajevo.

The grace period is three years and the loan repayment term is expected to be 15 years.

Another decision related to the improvement of public transport in Sarajevo Canton was approved at the session, and it refers to a 25 million euro loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the construction of the Ilid a Hrasnica tram line.

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be able to transfer the money from the loan to Sarajevo Canton as the final beneficiary and debtor with a grace period of 15 years and a grace period of three years.
