Court extends judicial custody of ex-DCP Sisodia

20.03.2023

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court extended the judicial custody of former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia by 14 days to April 3 in the case of the CBI. Sisodia is facing a probe by the CBI and the ED for his alleged role in the liquor scam. He was arrested on February 26 by the CBI and sent to judicial custody. But days later, the ED, which is probing the money laundering angle, arrested him. He is currently on the ED remand until March 22.

The CBI arrested Sisodia for 2021 -- 22 in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and execution of the now-scrapped Delhi liquor or excise policy. The statement from the Aam Aadmi Party AAP leader was recorded by the central probe agency for the first time on March 7 for about five hours.
