Ukraine President Zelenskyy thanks Japanese PM for visit to country

TOKYO, March 26, Jiji Press - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in a video message released Saturday, for his visit to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, for a bilateral summit.

The security package received from Ukraine and reached a strong agreement with Japan, and he is thankful for the productive visit made on Tuesday by Kishida, he said.

Kishida said that Japan will provide Ukraine with $470 million in additional aid in fields such as energy and $30 million in new aid for nonlethal defense equipment, as well as the Ukraine, which has been invaded by Russia.

Zelenskyy said in the video message that Ukraine became stronger in the past week, while Russia became even more isolated and hopeless.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine is doing everything possible so that Russia will not lose the war, despite his gratitude for aid from other countries.
