Sarajevo denies reports of bomb in Municipal Court

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton confirmed today that the report about a bomb in the Municipal Court in Sarajevo was false.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mersiha Novali, said that the counter-sabotage inspection of the Municipal Court building was completed at 3: 20 p.m. and that nothing was found.

She said this morning that the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton was informed by several schools that they had received reports of a bomb by e-mail, and that several multidisciplinary teams under the supervision of cantonal prosecutors are inspecting school facilities.

The police department of the MIA of Sarajevo Canton, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, takes all necessary measures and actions to protect children and teach staff, Novali said.

The MIA of Sarajevo Canton appeals to citizens to cooperate and be patient. They also urged drivers to drive more carefully in the vicinity of schools because of the fact that a larger number of children are currently outside school facilities.
