India reports 3,641 daily Covid cases

India has a single day jump of 3,641 new Covid cases as the active caseload increased to 20,219, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday.

The death toll has gone up to 5,30, 892 with 11 deaths from Maharashtra and one each in Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka and Rajasthan in a 24 hour period. The toll also includes four deaths reconciled by Kerala, according to the data.

With 1,800 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the daily positivity rate was 6.12 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 2.45 per cent.

The total number of Covid cases was 4.47 crore 4,47, 26,246. Active cases now constitute 0.05 per cent of the total infections while the national recovery rate has been recorded at 98.76 per cent, according to the ministry website.

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease is 4.41 crore 4,41, 75,135 while the case fatality rate was 1.19. 220.66 crore Covid vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive, according to the ministry website.

There were 92.18 crore Covid tests conducted so far, including 59,512 tests in the last 24 hours.
