‘There needs to be a judicial reform’

It has to be a judicial reform and we have to do our best to make it happen, Ivanov said, after holding a meeting with the leadership of the parliamentary group of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. The meeting was attended by businessman and MP Delyan Peevski, who was appointed in June 2013 by the State Agency for National Security and led protests against the coalescence of political power with business interests.

There has to be a judicial reform, because when we talk about what brought people out into the streets, they came out because they wanted a judicial reform. We have always said we are going to implement a judicial reform, but who can we do reforms with? What kind of reform is there? If it s the right kind, then it doesn t matter in the least with whom the votes come in, Ms. Hristo Ivanov said.
