Sushi chain owner suing boy for $480,000 after video of him licking soy sauce bottle

The company that owns a major conveyor belt sushi chain, known for its viral video of a boy licking a soy sauce bottle, has filed a 67 million-$480,000 lawsuit against the boy, court documents show.

Akindo Sushiro, who runs Sushiro restaurants in Japan, filed the suit in the Osaka District Court on March 22.

The boy went to Sushiro outlet in Gifu Prefecture on Jan. 3 and was filmed licking an open soy sauce bottle and an unused teacup, and then touching a passing plate of sushi with a finger covered in his saliva.
