3 held in Sarajevo for child’s death

The Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton filed charges against three persons for the negligence of their treatment that resulted in the death of a two-year-old girl, D ena Gad un.

Amila Gad un, the mother of the deceased Dzena, said in a statement: She is in a positive shock and is under great emotions after learning that the indictment has been filed.

We are in positive shock, I am speechless. I am lost, This gives us back our hope in the prosecutor's office, we had some doubts. We gave hope that something will be done, Mr. Gad un said at a news conference.

The accused are doctor Suad Ro ajac and two doctor Jasmina Halimi and Nina Jovanovi Suad Ro ajac, who are charged with serious criminal offenses against people's health in connection with the criminal offense of medical malpractice. Two other women, Jasmina Halimi and Nina Jovanovi, are accused of abuse of position.

We remind you that in November 2021, the girl D ena Gad un was operated on at the private clinic Bejtovi in Sarajevo. She died on November 14th at the Clinical Centre Sarajevo and was transferred to the Royal Hospital, where she died a few days later.
