Lucknow UP polls 2021: BJP candidates announce

The list of BJP candidates for 57 out of 58 seats in the first phase and for 48 out of 55 seats in the second phase for the UP assembly polls that are scheduled to begin on February 10 was released by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at a press conference on Saturday.

The BJP said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will contest the Gorakhpur constituency. The UPCM would also contest from Ayodhya earlier in the day, but this report is now nullified.

He said that deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya will contest the assembly segment of Sirathu.

The election commission said that the election for the 403 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases starting February 10.

The polls in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases, on February 10, 14, 20, 23, and March 3 and 7 in seven phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
