Government Prioritizes Infrastructure Investments for Improved Quality of Life

The primary focus of the regional minister, Andrey Tsekov, is to advance the construction of the highway network. The western transport axis, connecting Vidin to the Greek border at Kulata, is of utmost importance.

the Vidin-Botevgrad highway and the final section of the Struma highway. Additionally, work on the Hemus highway is being resumed.

Investments in municipal projects are another priority. To ensure that these investments benefit the population, agreements with all municipalities must be finalized swiftly. Tsekov reported that 900 applications for project financing have been submitted, with 90% processed, representing a total of 2 billion euros over the next three years.

The primary investments will be directed towards municipal roads, street networks, water projects, and sewerage systems.
