Afghanistan faces crisis over food aid and food aid

Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced that Afghanistan is facing the collapse of basic services and food and other humanitarian aid is starting to run out.

OCHA spokesperson Jens Laerke told a U.N. briefing that millions of Afghans needed food aid and health assistance, urging donors to give more before an international aid conference for Afghanistan on 13 September.
