A Comprehensive Guide to Enhanced Organization and Control

WhatsApp has expanded its message pinning feature, allowing users to pin up to three messages in a chat. This enhancement was initially spotted in a beta version of the app and has now been made available to all users. Previously, WhatsApp only allowed pinning a single message.

The pinning feature is not limited to text messages. Users can now pin media, voice notes, and emojis in both individual and group chats. Additionally, users can customize the duration for which a message remains pinned, with options for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.

To pin a message on WhatsApp, Android users can long-press on the desired message and select "Pin" from the three-dot menu. iOS users can tap and hold a message, select "More options," then "Pin." Web and Desktop app users can click on the downward arrow button next to a message, choose "Pin message," and select the pin duration.

When multiple messages are pinned in a chat, a banner will appear at the top of the conversation, displaying the number of pinned messages and a preview of the latest one. Clicking on this banner will reveal all pinned messages, allowing users to easily navigate to their preferred message.
