CEO of Saudi Fund for Development reviews efforts

The CEO of Saudi Fund for Development SFD Sultan bin Abdurrahman Al-Marshad was at the fund headquarters today with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Sierra Leone Professor David J. Francis in the presence of Saudi ambassador to Sierra Leone and ambassador for Sierra Leone to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting reviewed the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through SFD's development projects and programs financed by the fund to support Sierra Leone. The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest.

The minister expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting Sierra Leone, praising the efforts of SFD in financing development projects and programs over the past years, and stating that these projects benefit all in Sierra Leone and play a positive role in social and economic growth and prosperity.

SFD has offered 5 soft loans to finance 5 development projects and programs with a total value exceeding USD 58 million, in addition to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's grant to the Saudi Program for Digging Wells and Rural Development in Africa, where the program's contribution to the fifth phase in Sierra Leone stands at USD 5 million.
